01About My Thrift and these terms
My Thrift Clothing Limited, trading as My Thrift, operates this marketplace. These terms cover customers, vendors and people using supported guest features, including Pay for Me. Our contact address is hello@shopmythrift.com.
My Thrift connects independent vendors and customers and provides marketplace, payment-coordination, communication and fulfilment tools. The listing identifies the vendor supplying the goods. This does not remove obligations My Thrift has for services it provides or rights that cannot be excluded by law.
Read these terms, the Privacy Policy, the displayed listing and checkout information, and the applicable vendor return policy before transacting. Mandatory law takes priority; My Thrift Buyer Protection takes priority over conflicting vendor return terms. Third-party terms apply only to the services and relationships they properly cover.
02Eligibility, accounts and security
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement. Delivery is offered within Nigeria where our delivery partners provide service. An available address or courier quote determines serviceability; we do not promise every location is covered.
Provide accurate information and keep it current. Only use an account and payment method you are authorised to use. Keep credentials and payment PINs confidential and tell support promptly if your account is compromised. Account-role selection is an experience preference, not permission to bypass verification or restrictions.
Do not transfer accounts, impersonate another person, evade a restriction by creating another account, or abuse guest features. Guest questions require verification and are subject to the displayed limits; registered users can continue permitted conversations in the app.
03Vendor onboarding and responsibilities
Vendors must provide truthful identity, store, payout and address information, complete required preferences and cooperate with verification and correction requests. Listings may be prepared before approval, but publication and new trading depend on eligibility. False documents or material deception may lead to rejection or permanent restriction, subject to applicable rights and review.
Vendors are responsible for lawful ownership, accurate descriptions, stock availability, product safety, applicable taxes and providing goods matching the order. Sellers must disclose material wear, faults, sizing and condition, especially for second-hand goods. Store approval is not a guarantee of every product's condition or authenticity.
Vendors must maintain accurate collection and pickup arrangements, pack accepted items securely and fulfil existing paid obligations even if new trading is restricted. Restricted withdrawals or changes requiring verification may need support assistance. These terms do not change the payout timing applicable to an order.
04Listings, prohibited goods and automated suggestions
Only list goods you are entitled to sell and that may lawfully be sold and carried by the selected delivery service. Stolen or counterfeit items, prohibited weapons or substances, unsafe/recalled goods, illegal material and listings infringing another person's rights are not permitted. A category appearing in the app does not authorise prohibited goods.
Photos, price, quantity, variants, condition, defects and any freebie or discount must be accurate and not misleading. AI/image suggestions for category, type, tags or parcel information are assistance, not a substitute for checking a listing. The vendor remains responsible for the submitted details.
We may unpublish unsafe, misleading, restricted or ineligible listings and preserve relevant evidence. A sold-out listing remaining visible does not make stock available or guarantee a restock. Do not manipulate views, followers, likes, rankings or reviews.
05Ordering, payment confirmation and acceptance
Review the vendor, items, selected variants, quantity, fulfilment method, address and full amount before paying. A cart, offer, draft order or payment link is not a completed purchase. Payment processing can finish before the app receives confirmation; avoid paying again solely because a screen is delayed and contact support with the reference.
A paid order enters the applicable vendor decision/fulfilment process. Vendors may decline for valid reasons such as unavailable goods; the applicable refund process then follows. Accepting a normal delivery order means the vendor is ready for courier arrangements, not that the parcel has already reached the customer. Pending orders may be automatically declined after the applicable acceptance deadline, ordinarily two days.
An accepted stockpile addition joins the relevant pile, while pending additions retain their own decision state. Declined additions remain identifiable for their refund and dispute history. Account or payment restrictions may prevent an action, but must not silently extinguish rights concerning money already paid.
06Offers, counteroffers and expiry
A buyer can submit up to 24 offers in a rolling 24-hour period. The app shows availability and expiry information. A pending offer ordinarily expires after 24 hours; a counteroffer or accepted-price opportunity has its own displayed deadline, with the applicable price-lock period ordinarily 24 hours.
A vendor may accept, decline or counter an eligible current offer. A buyer can respond to the current counteroffer through the app. A newer valid offer round supersedes an earlier pending round for the same negotiation; historical rounds are records, not multiple opportunities that can all be accepted. A declined or expired offer is not a paid order, and the buyer may make a new eligible offer within the limits.
Acceptance makes the applicable offered price available through the supported checkout flow. It does not itself collect payment, guarantee indefinite stock reservation or remove delivery and applicable fees. Availability, eligibility and the displayed deadline still apply at checkout. Do not treat a message alone as a confirmed payment or order.
07Prices, buyer protection and stockpile fees
Prices and charges are shown in Nigerian naira unless expressly indicated otherwise. Review the item subtotal, applicable buyer-protection/service fee, discounts and delivery charge before authorising payment. Normal-order Buyer Protection fees depend on the discounted item subtotal, item quantity and selected delivery, and are capped at 10% of the discounted item subtotal. Normal Buyer Protection and Stockpile fees are alternatives, not combined charges. The final amount is shown before payment; an unselected courier quote is not permission to charge it.
Stockpile lets you combine purchases from the same vendor over your selected period for one delivery. The vendor holds accepted items until you request delivery. Your Stockpile fee depends on your chosen duration and discounted item subtotal, and is capped at 12.5% of that subtotal. Available durations depend on the vendor. Review the exact fee at checkout before payment. Eligible additions to the same open stockpile do not attract another Stockpile fee or extend its end date. Delivery is selected and paid for separately when you end your pile. Existing paid orders retain their agreed fees.
For this schedule, merchandise value excludes delivery and the stockpile fee itself and reflects applicable item discounts. The total shown before authorisation must reflect the applicable schedule. A new separate stockpile attracts its own Stockpile fee; adding to a closed, delivery-stage or otherwise ineligible pile is not a fee-free repile.
Any new fee or changed rate must be communicated before it applies to a transaction. We do not retrospectively change a paid order's agreed price through a policy update. Buyer Protection is a marketplace dispute/remedy process, not a promise of insurance or an unconditional refund for every complaint.
08Payments, wallet balances and payouts
Use only the payment routes offered by My Thrift. Paystack is a payment partner; its terms apply to its processing services. Do not pay a vendor personally to bypass checkout or send card credentials, passwords or payment PINs in chat.
A wallet records supported credits, debits, refunds and payments. It is not an investment, interest-bearing deposit or a My Thrift banking service. Availability of a balance or payout remains subject to confirmed transactions, reconciliation, verification, disputes and applicable provider/legal requirements. Paystack's role is governed by the payment service it provides; My Thrift remains responsible for its own wallet records and customer-service obligations.
Vendors receive payouts through the supported settlement/withdrawal process to verified payout details. Payment-provider charges, holds or deductions must have a valid basis and be explained where applicable. A support review may be required for unsettled funds, disputed transactions or deletion. Report unauthorised payments promptly and retain the payment reference.
09Pay for Me and payment links
The customer who creates the order remains its owner, while another person can pay through the shared link. The payer should review the order summary, amount and refund arrangement before authorising payment. A link may expire and a paid order must still satisfy stock and fulfilment requirements. Share links only with the intended payer.
For an approved Pay for Me refund, the order owner's My Thrift wallet is credited initially. If a bank refund of that payment is requested, it is returned to the original payer's verified bank account, not a different account nominated to divert their money. Support verifies the transaction and coordinates with the payer as necessary.
Any corresponding wallet credit must be reversed or otherwise reconciled before the bank refund so the same payment is not refunded twice. A spent or disputed credit requires support reconciliation. This arrangement does not remove the original payer's statutory or payment-provider dispute rights and is not authorisation to disclose their banking details to the order owner.
10Stockpiling and repiling
Stockpiling lets you buy items from a vendor over the selected period and request their consolidated fulfilment. The vendor holds accepted items during that period. Each addition keeps its own payment and acceptance record; it does not erase earlier orders or extend the pile's deadline unless an extension is explicitly confirmed.
You can add eligible purchases to the same open pile through repile mode. Leaving repile mode does not close your existing pile. Each purchase requires vendor acceptance. If the first order is declined and no accepted items remain, a subsequent purchase starts a new pile with the applicable starting fee.
An existing pile being shipped, handed to a courier, completed, cancelled or closed to new additions is not an open pile for further purchases. A Deliver Now order is separate unless the checkout explicitly confirms it is a stockpile addition. Review that choice before paying.
When closing a pile or reaching its deadline, follow the delivery-request flow, confirm the address/contact information and pay the selected delivery charge. Pending vendor decisions or unresolved payments may need resolution before all items can be included. The packing summary identifies which accepted items form the shipment; report discrepancies to support.
11Overdue stockpiles and storage
At the end of the selected period, arrange the requested fulfilment promptly. A closed or expired pile may still contain paid, accepted goods awaiting delivery; expiry does not itself cancel those purchases. We send applicable reminders, but you should also check the displayed deadline and keep contact information current.
An additional storage charge for customer-caused delay may depend on the size of the stored stockpile rather than a fixed daily rate. Before any such charge starts, the applicable daily amount or sufficiently clear calculation basis, start time and payment arrangements must be disclosed. There is no undisclosed automatic storage tariff, and vendors cannot invent retrospective charges or request off-platform payment.
No storage penalty applies for delay caused by the vendor, courier or My Thrift, or while a genuine dispute prevents fulfilment. A customer who has completed the required delivery request and payment on time is not penalised because logistics collection happens later.
If a stockpile remains unresolved seven days after its end, it is referred to My Thrift support for review, with notice to the customer. There is no automatic forfeiture or permission for a vendor to discard, resell or keep paid-for goods. Support assesses the circumstances and lawful next steps. Buyer Protection and statutory rights do not automatically disappear on day seven.
12Delivery partners, quotes and tracking
My Thrift arranges delivery using delivery partners, including Shipbubble and the selected courier. The vendor prepares the parcel and makes it available for collection. The relevant partner undertakes transport and delivery according to the selected service and applicable terms; My Thrift remains responsible for its own services and any duties that law does not permit it to exclude.
Quotes can expire before payment and may need refreshing. Package characteristics, destination and service affect the charge. Courier estimates and delivery windows are estimates, not guaranteed arrival dates unless a service expressly guarantees them. Corrections, failed attempts or redelivery may require support review; additional customer charges need an explained, lawful basis and appropriate advance notice, not an unexplained deduction.
A vendor's handover confirmation records that the listed parcel was handed to logistics; it is not proof of customer receipt. Courier tracking informs shipping/delivery progress and can be delayed. A tracking code may need to be used with the named courier. Keep packaging and evidence and contact My Thrift support promptly about loss, damage or inaccurate tracking.
The selected courier may impose lawful carriage restrictions, packaging requirements, claim procedures and service limitations. Shipbubble's and the courier's terms apply to their respective services, not as a blanket replacement for these terms or customer rights. My Thrift assists with the relevant claim; a provider's claim deadline does not automatically erase a customer's rights against the responsible party.
Customers must supply an accurate reachable delivery contact and address and reasonably cooperate with delivery attempts. Vendors do not arrange separate private delivery-fee collections or receive the customer's private home-delivery contact details through the ordinary order flow. Necessary information is shared with delivery partners as explained in the Privacy Policy.
13Store pickup
For an eligible pickup order, use the confirmed pickup location, date/time windows and instructions. A vendor may choose to share a reachable number for help locating the pickup point. That limited contact permission does not authorise off-platform sales or unrelated marketing.
Use the app's pickup confirmation process and protect any pickup code until the intended handover. Inspect the parcel where practical; a handover or code does not waive rights concerning hidden defects or misdescription. Use the supported rescheduling flow where available; if further changes, a missed pickup or a safety issue arise, contact support. Do not attend a location that has not been confirmed for your order.
14Buyer Protection and returns
My Thrift Buyer Protection and applicable statutory rights take priority over conflicting vendor terms. Request help within three days of receiving an item that is missing, defective, damaged or materially different from its description. This reporting period does not remove rights provided by law. Where the vendor is responsible, the vendor bears the approved return-delivery cost.
The three days are for requesting a return or reporting the issue after delivery or pickup, not necessarily completing return transport. Keep the order reference, listing details, photos, packaging and other relevant evidence. Do not send goods to an unconfirmed address; support coordinates approved return instructions and the physical return deadline.
Coverage includes non-delivery, missing or wrong items, material damage/defects and material differences from the listing or agreed order. Disclosed wear in a second-hand item is not itself a misdescription, but disclosure does not make unsafe or unlawful goods acceptable. Change of mind or a customer's mistaken selection may instead depend on the vendor's stated policy, subject to law.
We review evidence fairly, may seek information from both sides and the courier, and communicate the outcome and proposed remedy. Where the vendor caused the problem, the customer does not bear the approved return-delivery cost. Other return-cost arrangements must be explained before the return and comply with applicable rights. A vendor's 'no returns' statement cannot override these protections.
15Refunds, cancellations and payment disputes
Contact My Thrift support for cancellation requests, fulfilment failures and disputed payments. Whether an order can be stopped depends on its stage and applicable rights; pressing back, deleting an account or ending a chat does not cancel a paid order. Vendors must use the app's decision process rather than privately retaining a declined order's payment.
Approved refunds ordinarily credit the customer's My Thrift wallet. A customer can request a bank refund through support; the destination is verified and the corresponding wallet credit is reconciled. For Pay for Me, the special original-payer bank-refund rule above applies. My Thrift does not charge a refund-processing fee.
The refund breakdown explains the goods and any delivery or other charges being refunded, based on what happened and applicable rights. We do not use this clause to make all service or delivery charges automatically non-refundable. Processing time depends on review, confirmation and the payment provider/bank; support supplies available status rather than promising an instant bank credit.
Do not seek duplicate recovery through a wallet credit, bank refund and chargeback for the same amount. Provide truthful evidence and tell support about an existing provider dispute. Nothing prevents a good-faith complaint, statutory remedy or legitimate payment-provider dispute.
16Chat, questions and off-platform activity
Use marketplace chat to ask product questions, negotiate through the offer tools and coordinate permitted pickup details. A conversation can continue after an offer changes state; chat availability is not evidence that an expired offer or unavailable item can still be purchased on the old terms.
Do not attempt to take or finalise marketplace business off-platform, share contact details to bypass the platform, solicit private payments or send external payment instructions. This exposes participants to risks outside My Thrift's transaction records and may result in permanent account restrictions. The app-authorised pickup contact exception is for pickup help only.
Threats, harassment, abusive or discriminatory messages, scams, impersonation, spam, unlawful content and misuse of another person's information are prohibited. Relevant messages may be checked by safety systems or authorised staff for enforcement, reports and support, as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not assume chats are inaccessible to My Thrift.
Use the report/block tools or support when needed. Do not share passwords, payment PINs, full card details or unnecessary identity documents in chat. Guest question replies are provided through the supported verified-email flow; they are not permission for a vendor to start off-platform marketing.
17Reviews, badges and support
Reviews must reflect a genuine experience and must not contain fabricated accusations, private contact information or abusive content. Vendors can dispute a review through the supported process; a dispute does not guarantee removal of a truthful negative review. Courier reviews help My Thrift assess delivery experiences and are not automatically sent as complaints to the courier.
Badges, product views and performance comparisons are based on available marketplace information and may update over time. They are not promises of sales, guaranteed response times or certification of every item. Report suspected inaccuracies rather than manipulating activity.
Support conversations let us use relevant account, order and error context to investigate a request. One active support conversation is maintained per account; a resolved conversation is closed and a new issue can be raised separately. Staff can request relevant evidence, including photos, but never your sign-in password or payment PIN. An unresolved general question does not by itself justify holding a deletion request.
18Your content and intellectual property
You retain rights in content you create. You grant My Thrift a non-exclusive permission to host, reproduce, format and display submitted content as needed to operate the marketplace, show shared/public listings, provide support and enforce these terms. Public listing content may be used to present and promote the marketplace; private chats, identity documents and support evidence are not public advertising material.
You must have permission to upload photos, text and other material and must respect other people's privacy and intellectual property. Removal of public content ends its ordinary public display, subject to reasonable technical processing and lawful retention of transaction, safety or dispute evidence. This is not an unrestricted claim of ownership over your content.
My Thrift branding, software and service materials remain owned by their respective rights holders. Report infringement with enough information to identify the material and your rights; we may seek evidence and hear the affected party before deciding, unless urgent removal is appropriate.
19Restrictions, closure and account deletion
We may limit an action, unpublish content or restrict an account for safety, fraud, serious/repeated breaches, legal requirements or unresolved verification concerns. The response should reflect the circumstances. Where appropriate we provide a reason and support route for review; some details may be withheld to protect an investigation, another person or a legal obligation.
Customers can request deletion in Settings and vendors through Profile account actions; support also accepts requests at our contact email. New activity stops and a requesting vendor's store/listings become unavailable for new business, while necessary fulfilment and support for existing paid obligations continue. Outstanding orders, refunds, wallet settlement and genuine disputes may require resolution before final deletion.
Deletion is permanent when completed, not when a request is first submitted. Necessary records may remain under the Privacy Policy's three-calendar-month retention approach and any applicable legal/claim exceptions. Closing an account does not remove an existing debt, refund entitlement, ownership right or other surviving obligation.
20Service limitations and responsibility
We take reasonable steps to operate the service, but connectivity, maintenance, supplier availability and external services can cause interruptions or delays. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, every vendor's performance, a recommendation's suitability or an estimated delivery time. Contact support when a technical problem affects a paid transaction.
To the extent permitted by law, My Thrift is not responsible for indirect or consequential business loss, lost anticipated profit or loss caused solely by events outside its reasonable control. This does not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded, our own applicable obligations, or customers' rights concerning goods, services, payments or personal information.
Vendors and customers remain responsible for loss they cause through fraud, unlawful conduct or breach of their obligations, subject to proof, causation and applicable law. These terms do not impose an unlimited consumer indemnity or make a customer responsible for a vendor's or courier's fault. Reasonable steps must be taken to reduce avoidable loss.
21Complaints, governing law and dispute resolution
Contact My Thrift support with the order/payment reference and relevant evidence so we can investigate. We may facilitate discussions with the vendor or delivery/payment partner. Internal resolution is not a condition that prevents you approaching a competent regulator, court or payment provider where you have that right.
These terms are governed by Nigerian law. Disputes may be brought before competent Nigerian courts, subject to any mandatory rights or jurisdiction rules that apply. Nothing requires undisclosed compulsory arbitration or a waiver of statutory remedies. Consumer complaints may also be directed to the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission; privacy complaints may be directed to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
22Changes, notices and general provisions
Material changes receive appropriate advance notice and, where needed, acceptance before applying to future transactions. A new policy does not retrospectively add storage charges or reduce protection for an existing paid order. Keep a copy of the terms and transaction information that applied when you purchased.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent lawful. Not enforcing a provision immediately is not a permanent waiver. Notices can be provided through the app or the appropriate verified contact channel. You may not transfer obligations to another person without permission where that would prejudice a counterparty; any business transfer by My Thrift remains subject to law and applicable privacy safeguards.
